Adventure is a feeling not a verbal description!
~Ind Cyclist
Why did I choose to go to Jaipur in the summers?

I get asked the same question every time I talk about my Delhi to Jaipur ride, but to answer it, we need to comprehend the basic geography of Jaipur.
Jaipur is a stunning city, also known as the Pink City or the capital city of a beautiful and diverse state called Rajasthan. Jaipur city is an eastern plain region of Rajasthan and it is also surrounded by the oldest mountain range of India called the Aravali range, the whole of Rajasthan itself is surrounded by the Aravalli which makes it a more majestic state of India and this is the reason why I chose to visit Jaipur on my road bike. In my opinion, Rajasthan is one of the best places to visit in India and I would suggest you visit this place once with a road bike you will experience heaven here for sure.
Rajasthan is a great destination that offers great food, culture, architecture, and a scenic view of arid and semi-arid regions with a majestic view of the Aravali range. This beautiful state is home to many bikers from all over the world, and it always leaves a profound and enlightened impression on them.
Adventure gone wrong!

On 23rd March 2021 I cycled through the Delhi-Jaipur expressway from Delhi NCR to Jaipur.
it was a wild experience for me not because I was riding in a slightly hot month or it was a tough ride but because this expedition gave a philosophical outlook to my life. Recalling the entire ride can be tedious because adventure is a feeling, not a verbal description. I would like to recount the incident that changed my mindset.
I started my ride early in the morning as I intended to reach Jaipur before sundown. When I started riding, I was enjoying the sunny weather. Everything went pretty well till 150 km.
However, before reaching Behror (a city in Rajasthan), drizzling started happening. At first, I thought this was an okay condition to ride in such mild rain, but 5 minutes later, strenuous rain started happening. Because of this, I had to pause my ride for 40 mins. When the rain stopped, I proceeded with my ride again, but the situation was that, due to excessive rain, the area got very muddy and filled with rainwater. I found myself struggling due to this, but I kept on going because for me the mission is, god.
Now you may ask how this all changed my life. Well, for your information, I was wearing my cleat shoes on this ride. Initially, cleat shoes were not causing trouble because it was a highway, so I didn’t have to clip my shoes frequently. However, after rain on the muddy surfaces, I had to clip off my shoes frequently while riding. I decided to take a break, so I decided to stop at a tea kiosk for some refreshments, but just in front of that kiosk the whole area around the kiosk was surrounded with huge muddy layers of soil & I didn’t pay attention to it and I just tried to ride through it but my bike got stuck due to huge muck and I didn’t get enough time to clip off my shoes and I just fell on the highway with my bike and just right before this incident the truck passed the same section of the road where the tea kiosk was present & honestly it was a scaring incident for me.
I had to end the ride for the day because my jersey, bike, stuff, everything got dirty. So I had to stop anyway, but Later on that night, I pondered whether I could have died as it was just a matter of few seconds. I started thinking that all my plans, my desires, what I wanted to do in future could have died with me. I realized that pondering over the future and worrying about the future is a waste of time . We spend our whole lives worrying about the future and never look at what we have now because the future is a thing which doesn’t exist until it exists. The best time to do something is “now”.
This incident changed the whole perspective of how I look at life.
