How To Choose the right bike helmet?

Well everybody knows how important bicycle helmets are not just because it looks cool on you but also because it keeps you safe while riding, so obviously it becomes very important to choose the right helmet according to your riding needs and demands.

First and foremost you have to make a few considerations before buying a helmet, Let’s look at them.

Price

The first consideration for most people is price.

Well let’s clear one myth here that spending less on a helmet doesn’t mean that there is going to be a safety issue and also spending more on a helmet doesn’t mean that it would be safer than the affordable one.

Then what’s the actual difference between these two? Well, to be honest, an expensive helmet might be lighter and also an expensive helmet might have more ventilation than the affordable one.

If you buy an expensive helmet you might get more aerodynamic geometry. Thus price and safety are very different things simply you can go for both types of helmets depending on the budget and usage you are looking for.

Comfort and fit

Comfort and fit are also one of the most important considerations so I would suggest that you should always aim to try on the helmet for the perfect size, you can also measure your head size through normal measuring tapes.

Adjustable dial

Before buying a helmet you should always check whether the helmet has an adjustable dial system or not because this is very important in terms of fit and stability, This is the only system which will keep your helmet stable on your head, after fixing the adjust dial, your helmet shouldn’t be too tight on your head.

Buy the one which is more comfortable and specific and you must also ensure that the helmet is not giving extra pressure to certain points on your head.
